Profile Page

Create a profile page that outlines your work experiences,and your relevant coursework, training, and certifications. You can also list what your interests are and tell prospective employers about what your future career goals entail. In addition, any events and activities that you participate in will be listed on your profile page as well. Lastly, you can upload a PDF version of your resume and link to your Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter Accounts.

E-Portfolio

Develop an E-Portfolio to showcase your work and learning achievements over a period of time to both educators and potential employers.

WBL Opportunities

Students can search, review, and apply for Work Based Learning opportunities that have been posted in the system. Students will be able to browse through internship, full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.

Events and Activities

Students can search, review, and register for events and activities that are taking place both in the school as well as in the community. Educators, businesses, and organizations that are registered users of the system will have the ability to create events and activities available for the students. This system will be a great way to promote these events as well as manage the registration process. When students attend an activity or event it will show up on their profile page.

Educator Account Features

Profile/Live Feed

Educators can create a profile and see a live feed of everything going on within the network. Educators also have the ability to create courses and invite students to the network through those courses.

Advisory Council

Educators will have the ability to participate in advisory councils and invite local employers and community organizations to be members. This will be a great way to organize your advisory councils and will provide you with a message thread between members where you can upload documents such as meeting minutes and other important documents.

Search WBL Opportunities

Educators can browse and search WBL opportunities within the network. You can filter out the employers both by industry type as well as opportunity type to find the best fit for you. Employers can choose to participate as guest speakers, mock interviews, informational interviews, attend career fairs, provide job shadowing, provide internships, etc.

Request and Schedule WBL Activities

Educators can send WBL requests to employers to schedule WBL opportunities for their classes. Employers can accept or deny your request, and can send counter proposals if your request does not fit their schedule. You can also just send regular messages to employers to make contact with them.

Employer Account Features

Profile/Request Types

Employers will have the ability to create a profile for themselves or their business, select which industry they work in, explain what type of work they do, what types of students should connect with them, as well as select which work based learning opportunities they are willing to provide including guest speaking, job shadowing, mock interviews, worksite tours, community service, service learning, internships, full or part-time work, etc.

WBL Opportunities

Employers will be able to create and post work based learning opportunities that they are offering including internships, full or part-time work, seasonal employment, or community service. Students will have the ability to apply directly through the system and you can review their submissions and set up interviews.

Events and Activities

Employers will be able to create and post events and activities that they will be hosting for students and educators. Students and educators will have the ability to register for the event or activity directly through the online system for easy management of registered participants.

Advisory Council

Employers will have the ability to join Advisory Council’s for specific programs if invited by the intermediary. These advisory councils will provide employers the opportunity to provide input and guidance on how to best align curriculum to best prepare students to work in their industry. Through this function will provide you with a message thread between members where you can upload documents such as meeting minutes and other important documents.

Relationship Management

This platform was designed to help manage the relationships for work based learning opportunities between employers, educators, and students. This platform provides one centralized location for all work based learning participants and opportunities to run through while being tracked and managed.

WBL Request Management

Intermediaries or Administrators have the ability to view all WBL requests that are made through the system as well as see the outcome to better manage and track data for work based learning opportunities.

Conversation Management

Intermediaries or Administrators have the ability to manage and view all conversations that take place on the platform to ensure safety for all students, educators, and employers registered through the system.

Emulate Users

Intermediaries or Administrators have the ability to emulate any user account for a multitude of reasons. These reasons can be discussed further at time of implementation or training.

Advisory Council

Create and Manage Advisory Councils where you can invite employers, educators, and students to participate in industry specific councils. This function will provide you with a message thread between members where you can upload documents such as meeting minutes and other important documents.

Oversee Events and Opportunities

Intermediaries can oversee all of the opportunities and events that have been created within the system by employers and educators to help ensure the connection of students to these opportunities.
